New CD/DVD releases

Three works have been released on CD and DVD recently.

JET A, for euphonium and CD accompaniment, was commissioned by, and written for, American euphoniumist Robert Benton. I’m delighted that Robert has recorded it on his great début CD, Mirrors.

You can find out further details of the CD, as well as purchase it, on the Just For Brass website: http://www.justforbrass.com/mirrors-121217.cfm

B of the Bang was one of my first pieces for brass band. Originally commissioned by Luc Vertommen and Brass Band Buizingen, it was performed by the European Youth Brass Band under the direction of Philippe Bach. Their performance in Montreux, Switzerland, from last year has been released by World of Brass on their highlights DVD from the 2011 European brass band championships.

You can find more details here: http://www.worldofbrass.com/acatalog/26140.html

The final new release is by Brass Band Oberschwaben-Allgäu, conducted by Peter Schmid, who have recorded my trumpet/flugel/cornet solo, Apex. The CD, which celebrates their 20th anniversary (congratulations!) is available from Amazon – as well as the band’s website.
